ACTIVE — PARTIAL PRODUCTION / SUPPORTING RECORDS UNRESOLVEDORR-2026-101: The Original General Fund Records Request
The Town’s financial reports raised reconciliation questions that cannot be answered from summary reports alone. On June 24, 2026, a public-information request sought the financial reports and supporting records needed to trace Fund balances, available cash, reserve support, and reported changes over time.
The Town later produced 16 files. The production is tracked as partial because the supporting accounting records needed to reconcile the reported figures have not yet been identified in the materials reviewed for this project.
This page documents the request and its production trail. It does not conclude that any money is missing or that any person acted improperly.

What prompted the request
Before ORR-2026-101 was filed, the requester compared two Town-issued Fund 100 balance sheets for the same reporting date. The reports were generated 10 calendar days apart and did not show the same total assets. The requester identifies this comparison as the reason the broader June 24 records request sought the underlying financial reports and accounting support.

Math check 1 · Total-assets comparison
$188,707 − $35,039 = $153,668
Math check 2 · March 27 accounting check
$122,015 + $66,692 = $188,707
What this establishes
The $153,668 difference equals the Cash in Bank–General Fund line shown in the March 17 report and not shown in the March 27 report. This does not establish that money is missing or that anyone acted improperly. It identifies the accounting question: which report was final, and what ledger, reconciliation, adjustment, or corrected-report record explains the change?

Read the full public comment
Good evening. I previously submitted a public-information request for the Town’s financial records in late June, including the reports and supporting documents needed to understand its fund balances and available cash.
The Town requested five additional days. That additional period has now passed, and I have not received the records, a production date, notice that the records do not exist, or notice that an Attorney General ruling was requested.
These records are especially important because residents have received multiple General Fund balance sheets for the same reporting period that do not contain the same figures.
My request tonight is straightforward: Please identify the official records provided to the auditor and provide a written date by which the requested financial records and reconciliations will be produced.
For each questioned fund, residents need one clear reconciliation showing the beginning balance, revenues, expenditures, transfers or adjustments, and the resulting ending balance.
This is not an allegation. It is a request for the records and procedural clarity needed to understand the Town’s financial position. Transparency reduces speculation and protects both residents and public officials.

What this page does not establish
This page documents a request and an unresolved source trail. It does not claim that a missing item proves the record never existed, was intentionally withheld, or establishes misconduct by the Town, staff, Council, or any individual.
The connected Fund 100 page documents figures requiring reconciliation. A difference in reported figures does not, by itself, establish missing money, fraud, theft, or an accounting error. The necessary conclusion depends on primary accounting records, explanations, and any final audit support.
